New Year’s Eve Outfit Inspiration

Today at STYLEanthropy, I’m sharing this New Year’s Eve outfit inspiration. I know y’all are pretty busy rushing last-minute preparations for Christmas. But after that, New Year’s Eve follows in a week. Have you thought about your New Year’s Eve look yet? Well, that’s why I’m here to help you out. I’ll be sharing with you my New Year’s Eve look. And together with COVERGIRL, Rent The Runway, Walmart and She Speaks, we’re giving one lucky My Fashion Juice reader an NYE look of her own. Way to ring in the New Year, right?

COVERGIRL has recently released their new Colorlicious Lipsticks that you can find at everyday low prices at your local Walmart. Make sure to check out the 36 shades in your local Walmart store. However, you can also find the 9 shades online at Walmart.com. It’s an easy and affordable way to change up your look for the coming year. Go out there, be bold and try a new shade for 2015.

For my New Year’s Eve look, I chose COVERGIRL Colorlicious Lipstick #380 which is the Yummy Pink Rose Delicieux. It’s a pale pink color. I’ve always wanted to wear nude lips but I’m a little pale for that and needed a bit of color. So I went with this soft pink. After all, I want it to be subtle because for my dress, I have something bold in mind! New Year’s Eve is probably the best time to rock out the color GOLD and a ton of SEQUINS!

Rent the Runway is an amazing fashion website that offers luxury rentals. They offer runway pieces worth hundreds to thousands of dollars, that you can rent for a fraction of the cost. I think it’s a great idea because I normally don’t reuse a gown or dress that I wear to special occasions. Let’s say you are going to a fancy wedding and have another wedding to attend to the same month… with the same group of friends. You’re not going to reuse the same dress, are you? More often than not, what we buy for special occasions gets buried in the closet. So it’s not very economical to buy a fancy dress every single occasion. I say go rent an amazing designer piece instead and walk that runway girl!

For my NYE look, I found this amazing Badgley Mischka Collection dress adorned with gold sequins all over. If this doesn’t scream New Year’s Eve, I don’t know what will! In the Philippines where I’m from, we believe that it’s lucky to wear circles or polka dots during New Year’s Eve. The circles, dots or round prints symbolize coins or money. So it has been a tradition to wear something with dots on NYE for prosperity throughout that year. While my dress is a solid gold color, it is adorned with round sequins all over. So I’m pretty sure this counts! Thank you Rent the Runway!

So, take a look at my New Year’s Eve look with the help of COVERGIRL, Walmart, Rent the Runway and She Speaks, below.

You’re probably wondering why I went with rugged lug sole boots for this really glam look. I just wanted to share with you that it’s okay to mix feminine and masculine pieces together. It’s okay to look classy and edgy at the same time. Sure, I could wear pumps or some strappy heels with this beautiful dress. However, it’s New Year’s Eve and it’s one of the coldest holidays. Heck, we may even get some snow. So I come prepared in these black ankle booties and it’s okay to be practical. Besides, it makes this look more young, modern and fresh!
