Today at STYLEanthropy, I’d like to share with you this white on white holiday outfit. I’ve always loved the white on white monochromatic look especially during the winter season (blend with the snow, anyone?) There’s a sense of luxury and refinement that an all-white look exude. It’s classy, timeless, tasteful and chic. That’s why I’m also always drawn to a mostly white and bright interior, which is pretty evident with how I style my home, also seen on my Instagram. Back to this look, I thought white on white is a perfect Holiday outfit too (I guess it reminds me of a white Christmas). So I picked delicate and luxe pieces from French Connection for one of my holiday looks this year!
The holiday season is the perfect time to wear all things sparkly, shiny and special! We all know this is the busiest season with parties here and there. Everyone is all dressed up to the nines, heading to holiday parties after holiday parties. So if you need to look for something special to wear, check out the Holiday pieces for both men and women from French Connection. They have a specific party wear section so you can find the perfect outfit for your next party – be it a casual gathering at a friend’s place, intimate dinner with the family, or a formal soiree at work, you’ll find something there!
I went with a more subtle sparkle – in dots no less! I figured this would also be a perfect New Year’s Eve look – with our “polka dot for NYE” tradition. If you’re new here, I shared before that in the Philippines where I grew up, we wear polka dot prints on New Year’s Eve and/or the day itself for luck and prosperity. The dots symbolize coins or money.
This Arctic Spell Blouse also comes in black and is just as gorgeous. But since I want to go with an all white look, I chose this beautiful white. I had to find the perfect white match to this top. And luckily, I saw this Aro Crepe Frill Detail trousers from French Connection as well. They are currently on sale. So if you love it as much as I do, make sure to grab them before they are completely gone.
I am in love with the detail and the fit of this trousers. The frill is a perfect camo / distraction if you are a bit hip(py) or heavy on the bottom. I know that this is totally the opposite of what others (including me) would normally advice (ie. if you’re bottom-heavy, wear a bottom that’s not too eye-catching). But let me tell you, the frills are perfectly positioned to hide my big hips and thighs. Haha.
If you decide to purchase, size up or make sure to double-check their size guide. I got a US size 6. I’m usually a size 4, but on occasion size up because of my hips and thighs! That’s why most of my pants are loose on the waist but tight or just right on the hips and thighs. The size 6 on this one though fit my waist, hips and thighs perfectly!
