A couple of days ago, I told you that I treated my eyes to a new Fall look. I got ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses for the very first time and I’m pretty happy with it. Aside from forgetting to bring, the reason I didn’t like wearing my old glasses was because it can mess up my makeup or cover a good eye look! I. MEAN. You know it, my beauty junkies! Who wants to work hard on trying a new makeup trend only to get covered by prescription glasses, right? So I’m happy that I now have ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses.
ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses
I finally did it after years – yes, years – of thinking about trying out contact lenses. Maybe I was just hesitant or scared about putting on lenses. But my eye exam at Target Optical® Center was so convenient and made it easy for me to bite the bullet. The doctor made sure I knew how to put them on before letting me go. But also, these instructions on how to put in and remove contacts helped a lot!
Now, nothing gets in the way of showing off a new makeup look I worked hard on! Hah! Speaking of makeup trend, have you tried the red eye makeup that’s trending?
Beauty Trend: Red Eye Makeup
If you saw the Fall runway shows this year, the one makeup trend that really stood out is the “red eye makeup” or red eyeshadow incorporated into an eye look. You may have noticed the makeup trend being worn by models and celebrities too. And you know what? It’s super easy to recreate. All you need is red eyeshadow that you can easily pick up at your next Target run. That’s why I love Target! You can find affordable makeup products perfect for trying out trends that you may (or may not) like. It’s easier to play with trends when you don’t have to spend a fortune, right?
Now you’re probably thinking, why am I gonna buy red eyeshadow that I will probably toss out after a season? Well, this is the tutorial for you – and mind you, how easy it is will blow your mind! Haha!
How to Get the Red Eye Makeup Look
- Buy a red-colored lip crayon. Choose a red that you’re comfortable in. It can be a pinkish or peachy red, bright red, deep red, or a red with blue undertones. We’ve seen a range of different reds used for this eye makeup trend.
- After putting on foundation or an eye primer (whichever you prefer), swipe that lip crayon on to your eyelids like in a wiper blade motion. Just apply up to your crease.
- To set the color in, close your eyes and press or lightly brush any translucent powder or spray any makeup setting spray to make the color last longer. That’s it! How easy was that? I like to keep the rest natural-looking since red eye color can be a bold look, especially if you go brighter or deeper.
And while at it, I thought I’d share with you this super easy, casual Fall look that you can easily recreate with pieces from Target! I wore sandals here from a warm Fall day. But you can easily switch the shoes to some ankle boots or rain boots, when it’s colder. Throw in a trench coat and you’re good to go!
Hope you liked this outfit and I hope it gave you ideas for your Fall wardrobe. Also, what do you think of the red eye makeup trend? Are you digging it? I’m just happy I can show it off without prescription glasses!
