Today at STYLEanthropy, let’s talk about one of the top trends for spring – khaki! Yup, you read that right. Perhaps the first thing you’d think of when you hear the word khaki is PANTS! OR maybe Trench Coats? Sure. But as seen on the Spring 2017 runways, khaki now comes in myriad ways.
Khaki Trend for Spring
Valentino sent down a hybrid of a trench coat and a cape that looked like a military-inspired coat with raw edges and big pockets. Tibi, Kenzo, and Alexander Wang showed high-waisted pants, while Rag & Bone went with a classic-fit. Other notable brands that came up with something khaki included Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Christian Dior, and Prada. So why wait? Jump on in the action and get your khaki on. I’ve listed some cute ones below.
Classic Trench Coat
Well, if you’re hesitant and doubtful about getting khaki dresses, skirts, or other ruffly things, you can never go wrong with a good trench. This is how I wore mine.
In other news, how adorable is this tee? It/s the softest ever and is almost sold out everywhere but I found you one here. Gotta hurry because there’s only two left when I last checked.
DIY Step Hem Jeans
By the way, this pair of jeans that I showed you on my Insta stories is an old one. I cut the hem to look like a step hem since I’ve been wanting to try a pair for the longest time. Instead of buying a new one, I made use of this old pair of jeans and experimented. I wanted to see if I’d love it and I did! Well, I wasn’t really planning to cut up this pair of jeans. BUT, on my last trip back to TX, I folded up this jeans to wear with flats. When I unfolded it, it’s gotten so loose where the fold was, even after laundry. It looked so funny and weird that I had to cut that part up. Now it looks so much better!
