Stan Smith Double Sole and SheIn Plaid Shirt Dress

Today at STYLEanthropy, I’m excited to share with you these two new additions to my Spring wardrobe – the latest Stan Smith Double Sole sneakers from Adidas and this SheIn plaid shirt dress. I have a feeling they will be overused throughout spring and beyond! Have a look and see why I’m in love with these two.

I’ve always loved the look of a casual maxi dress paired with some white sneakers. But going through my closet, I noticed that most of my maxi dresses are either floral and feminine, or just too dressy and not casual enough. So I started searching for a casual dress that I can wear with sneakers.

I was specifically looking for some plain jersey-type dresses in either black, white or gray. These shades I know I can wear with almost anything like chambray, denim jacket, or an army green bomber jacket among other things. But then, I came across this plaid shirt dress and I knew I just had to have it!

While it’s not gray, white or black, the colors in this print will still go with a ton of layers. I can most definitely tie a chambray button down on my waist. I can wear this with a denim jacket. I can also layer an army green bomber jacket on top. And when Fall season hits, this will also go well with a leather jacket. Plus, I love plaid and I love button downs. I was sold.

This dress also goes so well with a pair of white sneakers. When I learned that Adidas came up with a new version of their infamous Stan Smith sneakers with double sole, I knew it was meant for me! They announced it last December 2015 and released it in January/February 2016. So early this month, I took the plunge and got me a pair.

By the way, if you are thinking of getting this, make sure to size down 1 full size. I’m usually a 7 to 7.5. I first got a size 7 and had to return because it was way too big. I got the 6.5 and it’s still a bit loose. The 6 would have been perfect for me but it was already sold out. Make sure you grab one fast before they are all gone.

The double sole is just LOVE! I have a longer torso than legs. So if I can get a little bit of extra height, I’ll take it. Plus, I love that this one is in black and white. If you remember the Hubby’s Stan Smith sent by Mainline Menswear, it’s in the original green version which is also awesome. But knowing me and my love for black and white? You know this is my jam!

By the way, this dress comes with a tie to cinch the waist. But to achieve this casual cool look, I wanted to wear it loose. It’s a fun casual look for a day at the mall, running errands, grocery-shopping, arcade games, lounging around, brunch, etc. And while this is a casual look, let’s not forget the accessories – they complete the outfit and take it to the next level!
