Sanford House Staycation in Arlington

Today at STYLEanthropy, let’s travel in style to The Sanford House in Arlington, in my home state of Texas. Awhile back, I was fortunate to have been provided my own cottage suite, thanks to the awesome collaboration between Grand Prairie Premium Outlets and Sanford House. Do you know that they offer great shop and stay packages? Well, the Husband and I were so grateful to have been given the opportunity to enjoy a lavish weekend near home. Thus, the staycation kind of felt like a mini-honeymoon retreat too. We wished we didn’t have to go! We just wanted to stay there and enjoy the time to ourselves.

Above is the main house at The Sanford but was surprised that they had reserved a cottage suite for us! Thank you! We stayed at the Verona which is like a separate cottage behind the main house. It’s a one-bedroom suite that has a living area, a huge bathroom, and a den area that has a desk, bar, and sofa bed if you have kids. So really, this cottage suite is perfect not just for a couple but also a family of 4-5.

There are other villas and manor houses with more rooms, if you have a bigger family or want to share with another family. They have 2- and 4-bedroom suites respectively. For the Verona cottage, it comes with its own car port and gated fence. So it’s very private. In front of our cottage is a huge space with a huge gazebo and there’s also a garden. So you can pretty much entertain guests while you’re there. Let me give you a quick tour of our villa below.

There were homemade cookies and some fruits waiting for us in our villa too.

The bathroom was huge too. And that jet tub was just awesome. I love a hot bubble bath and if I could only stay there for hours (without overheating, lol), I would.

The breakfast is complimentary with each stay. And the best thing is that they are fresh-cooked which makes it extra fancy. The restaurant is very quaint and lovely. Wish we could have stayed longer.

It was actually very timely because I was set to jet off the following day for over a month long vacation to the Philippines. It was just me going home to family and friends in Manila. So our Sanford Home Staycation was sort of like a send-off retreat for me, especially since I knew I would be missing the Husband and our 4-legged baby Louis, so badly.

Thanks to the Sanford House for our staycation weekend. The experience was truly amazing and I highly recommend it to family and friends. I wouldn’t have thought of finding such gem in the corners of Arlington. It was nestled among residences but pretty close by the AT&T (Cowboy) Stadium, Texas Rangers Ball Park, and a few minutes away from the Grand Prairie Premium Outlets (one of my top 5 favorite outlet stores in the country). It’s also a few minutes away from Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor among other fun summer destinations!

And mind you, their courtyard is such a great area to hang out with friends. They have some gazebos with outdoor seating, complete with ceiling fans and some soothing background music too! The only thing I wish they had was a pool! But for couples and families, the jacuzzi is a great alternative. And before I forget, The Sanford House also have a spa. So while there, you can totally pamper yourself. Get a massage, wrap or facial, and enjoy your “me” time.

So if you are looking for a great place to enjoy a staycation (if you live in the DFW), or are visiting and planning to tour the stadium, visit theme parks and shop at the outlets, check them out at or book here now. Try it and let me know how your stay goes!

Keep traveling in style!

You are so cute Cris! Staycations are the best…we have too much to do around here locally, I always tell myself I need to discover more here first before I venture out again. lol.
