Couture at your finger tips – I’m talking about the Rue Des Archives pop up shop in Bakery Square here in Pittsburgh. If you follow me on Instagram and watch my Insta-stories, then you saw me visit the store a few weeks ago. I wanted to share sooner, but the holidays have been crazy. It’s my birthday month/season, but there has been no time to rest since December hit. So anyway, finally, I was able to sit down and write about the pop-up shop. See the goodies below.
Rue Des Archives Pop Up Shop in Bakery Square
Rue Des Archives is a consignment retailer based in Pittsburgh and specializes in designer fashion. They opened a pop up shop in Bakery Square last November 21st and had the city buzzing over couture with more affordable price tags. RDA is the brainchild of Nathan and Tom of Hens and Chicks – a floral, event, and design studio. They have impressive fashion and styling backgrounds, so this venture came natural.
I was able to preview the shop earlier, chat with Nathan, and take photos of the designer goods. They have amazing vintage Escada, Chanel suits, designer bags, Hermes jewelry/accessories, and this beautiful Prada Runway piece (shown below) that was worn by super model Linda Evangelista and also by celebrity Kyra Knightley. Gasp.
In addition to the luxe items, they also have more affordable pieces. I was able to find clothes below the $100 range. They also have amazing denim among others. I gotta find time to visit soon before the pop up ends. They’ll be in Bakery Square through December 28, 2016 only. The shop is open from noon to 7:30 pm.
If you live in the Pittsburgh area, make sure to stop by for some holiday shopping. You might just find the perfect holiday purse, shoes, or outfit. While they have recently launched an online shop, more can be found in the pop-up shop at the moment.
