Paisley button down shirt, denim cutoffs, straw hat

Paisley Summer

Hey guys! I’m alive! Today at STYLEanthropy, I’m sharing with you the return of the paisley prints. Yaaas – think 70s and a bit of 80s to 90s. I kinda associate the print with hippie looks from the 70s. And, remember those printed dresses we wore on top of mini tees back in the 80s to 90s? You know those looks wearing it with a choker and then some Dr. Martens? Haha! Those were my grade school years! I feel old. But anyway, some designers like Tory Burch are bringing back paisley this summer and I thought I’d share how I wear mine in an updated way. Take a look.

Paisley doesn’t have to look like your grams’. Worn with denim cutoffs, flatforms and a straw hat, it’s a really cute print to wear this summer. This was actually my red, white and blue outfit last Fourth of July. Oh how time flies. It feels just like yesterday that I wore this to an out of town trip.

Aside from paisley button down shirts, I also love the print on sheer, flowy, boho dresses. I am forever a boho girl so those take my heart in an instant. Rompers also make it more modern. Just make sure when you dive in to the paisley print, the overall look, cut, shape or style has a modern vibe. Also, I like mine pretty abstract so it’s screaming 70s. Smaller dotted like prints can also be cute as seen in the Tory Burch romper below along with other examples of what I’m talking about.
