NYFW Day 2 Look: Liberty Sage Mesh Dress

On my second day in NYC (which is technically Day 3 of the Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week), I had two shows: Mara Hoffman SS15 and AAU SS15, and an awesome party by the RewardStyle company that hosts my affiliate links (basically how I monetize my blog, thank you). I decided to wear my new modern and sleek white mesh dress sent to me by the awesome people at Liberty Sage Studio. Take a look.

Liberty Sage Mesh Dress

Liberty Sage is a contemporary womenswear brand based in Los Angeles, California. LS offers casual dressy day wear to polished evening looks. While I opted for a plain white mesh dress, the brand features fresh modern prints along with sleek silhouettes. The head designer, Mario Balthazar, has been featured in the Los Angeles Items Magazine’s “Ten Best Cut” of LA’s fashion designers and Vogue magazine too. I wouldn’t be surprised judging by this beautiful mesh dress that I got – it was well-made, has that modern aesthetic and just looks so polished and refined. Love that I can make it look more feminine and casual when paired with flats, a colored cardigan and a mini cross body bag. I got so many compliments that day and got featured in several of my fave brands’ instagram (like here)! Thanks to you Liberty Sage!

A funny story before I end this post

This is the second time I went to New York Fashion Week for Spring/Summer Collections. For some reason, I always go during the Fall/Winter Collections which is always in February. NYC is usually covered in snow when I’m there for fashion week.

Now the last time I went for the Spring/Summer Collections was in 2011 and the weather was perfect Fall weather. I could get away wearing a leather jacket. This time around though, during the first 4 days of New York Fashion Week, it was brutally hot and humid. The temps felt like 90s or something. It didn’t help that when you go to Lincoln Center (the venue of NYFW), the place is packed with fashion show guests, photographers, by-standers and probably, celebrity stalkers. On the other hand, I couldn’t be stopped wearing this bomber jacket. Don’t worry, I didn’t wear it the whole time. I just wore it to take these photos and when I came in and out of the Lincoln Center. I took it off when I was inside. One of the security guys by the door couldn’t help but say in a loud voice right after I walked past him, “all in the name of fashion“. Buwahahaha. You’re right, Mister. You’re right. I’m not the worst for sure though, because I saw others wearing fur coats inside… yes in what felt like a hundred degree weather. That’s called dedication, people!!! Because we’re all fashion nerds in there!
