Hello STYLEanthropy friends! It’s been a hot minute. Today, I’m finally sharing my NYFW ’17 Recap and a life update. I’m sharing with you why my posts have been sporadic lately. But let’s get to the New York Fashion Week recap first, shall we? I seriously have fashion stuff, travel, and food stuff to share with you all in this post! So if you’re not here for the fashion, this post will give you ideas on where to eat or go when in you’re in my favorite city – NEW YORK!
NYFW ’17 Recap
Again, sorry it took so long to get this post to you. I had over a thousand photos from runway shows, outfits, NYFW events/parties, and strolling around New York City!!! I tried my best to narrow them down. Otherwise, if I post everything it will take us years to go through all. Haha. I kid. But anyway, here are some of the shows and parties that I got to attend. As per usual, there were a few NYFW shows and parties that I didn’t get to on time – thanks to New York City traffic and events scattered throughout the city. Other shows and events were also happening at the same time. So I could only go to those that are closest to the prior event I went to.

I could have gone to 2 more shows toward the end of fashion week. But clearly my feet has its limits. Haha! FYI, we stayed at a hotel strategically located to most of the shows and events I attended. That meant I just walked to every show and event, even if it’s about 1-2 miles away. Yes I did… while dressed for NYFW. No big deal.
Aside from the fashion shows and NYFW parties, we also enjoyed the food that New York has to offer. We ate…
Japchae and chicken wings (not pictured) at Bonchon
Crab Spaghetti at Malatesta
and ate some more…
We also did some shopping, with Louis no less!
And obviously, we took lots of outfits photos along the way…
Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum
LTK Heart wall
… and also of the places we visited while there…
St. Patrick’s Cathedral
I always take advantage of our time in the city during NYFW. I make sure to squeeze in touristy things while in New York. Because no matter how many times we’ve been to the city that never sleeps, we still always find new things to do, food to eat, or places to visit.
Now, are you ready for this? I have been super busy the past few weeks because… the husband and I have been house-hunting. YAY!!!
Where? In Pittsburgh! While we love Texas and still call it home, it’s time to be smarter with our finances and start investing. Well, you should always be smart with your finances! But see, we have been renting for awhile now because the hubby’s job required traveling wherever the project goes.
One time his project was in Dallas for a month. The next, we’re in Virginia Beach for 4 months. Came back to Texas for another month, until we ended up in Pittsburgh. This time though, we decided to stay… at least for now. The end game is still in Texas.
But for now, we’re done wasting money on rent, especially when our rent is equivalent to two months of mortgage! And it’s just a one-bedroom apartment that can’t hold anymore of our stuff. You know as a blogger, I get sent products to review all the time. These days, especially with the upcoming holidays, I struggle to find a place where to put the packages anymore. My desk is full. The console that I take photos on is full. Our kitchen bar counter is full. I’m currently working on the dining table which is also getting full. I NEED a separate office space! Add to the fact that our rent increases each renewal. So yep. I’m done renting. It’s time to get a house. And you know what? We already have a closing date. But that will be for another time. Until the next house update! Xo.
