Today at STYLEanthropy, I’m sharing my New York Fashion Week Day 4 outfit that I call Grandma-inspired. Hah! If you follow me on Instagram, I showed a sneak peek on my Insta-stories. I asked if you think they were granny curtains or my next outfit. And well, you know the answer to that now. Grandma hair and grandma outfit? No problem! I’m actually obsessed with this style.
New York Fashion Week Day 4 Outfit
Planning for my Day 4 look, I knew I wanted a modern suit. By the way, it’s one of the trends this Spring 2017. While I was looking for plain or monochromatic slim suits, I found this while doing my search. The jacquard print immediately caught my eye! I know I’ve been wanting simple and neutral lately. But this just screamed fashion week-worthy to me. If there’s a time and place to be taking fashion risks and going bold, it has got to be the New York Fashion Week. Right there and then, the search ended! I just had to snag this matching pants and blazer.
Day 4 weather was a bit crazy. I was checking the weather app a few days before and that Sunday was supposed to be warmer. BUT, the day before, forecast changed to freezing rain. Yup, that’s what you’re seeing in the photos – a mix of ice and rain! Not to worry, I came prepared with this super cute Laundry by Shelli Segal coat that I found at Macy’s Backstage (c/o). Did you catch my Day 3 outfit that I scored at Macy’s Backstage too?
I completely forgot to show you the hoodie in this coat. It’s absolutely stunning but I checked all our photos and we forgot to take a photo of it. Ugh. I’ll have to take outfit photos with it soon just to show you. Even better? You’ll never guess how much I snagged it for. Drumroll, please… $30! It was probably hundreds of $$ but found it on clearance. Another score at Macy’s Backstage!
