New York Fashion Week happens every September (Spring collections) and February (Fall/Winter collections). I’ve been going to New York for fashion week since 2010. However, after a few winter storm-clad February fashion weeks, I stopped attending the Fall/Winter shows. BUT since I wasn’t able to make it last September, I thought I’d give this February fashion week another chance. I didn’t make it to Day 1 due to personal matters – had to do a lot of errands including a last-minute doctor appointment. So I missed some of the shows. However, I was so glad I missed it because it was probably the coldest one of the week. Flights going to NYC were cancelled and snow-a-plenty! So, I came on Day 2, and this is what I wore.
New York Fashion Week Day 2 Outfit
I’ve been wanting to get either a band (or rapper) tee and when I saw this 2Pac shirt, I knew it had to be the one. The mix of grungy tee with a feminine (and gold) pleated skirt was so much fun to wear. It’s got that rock ‘n roll effect… or in this case, a “hip hop meets girly” feel. I made sure to bundle up and the colors of this leopard coat matched the whole outfit perfectly. I layered with leggings and long sleeves underneath. And to keep me extra warm and comfy, I wore this Lanie Tall Boots sent to me by Vionic Shoes. It was amazing! I had a different pair of shoes in mind for Day 3. But I ended up wearing this pair again because it was just so comfortable and perfect for walking the streets of New York.
