Today at STYLEanthropy, we’re going to talk about the latest IT bag! It’s none other than the Chloe Mini Drew bag along with other new styles from the house of Chloe. There’s a surge in saddle bags at the moment. And fashion forecast says it could be the new “bucket bag” in terms of how crazy popular the bucket got last year. IT bag or not, I fell in love with the Chloe Drew bag way way back when I first saw it online.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago, I caved in. Say hello to my new Chloe mini Drew bag. The moment I learned of this new purse and the style name, I knew it was fate – ‘ya know, the hubby’s name. But when I saw it last year, I didn’t jump right into the purchase. I was still on my quest to own a Chanel Le Boy bag which was fulfilled on my Christmas Birthday. 🙂
When 2015 came, my purse-addict hands were itchy to grab something fresh, young and modern. I know they are all the same, but just bear with me. For once, I wanted to grab an IT bag instead of a classic. I know, I know. Whatever happened to the classic and timeless? Well you know what? Sometimes you just go with the flow. Go with your gut. Try new things. Break monotony and break your own fashion rules. I wanna be able to enjoy a piece at the height of its popularity, ‘ya know?
Besides, while I was looking for an IT bag as my next bag purchase, I still made sure to stick to something that I know will stand the test of time. I still searched for a bag that I know can be worn by all ages. Something that I can dress up or down. Something you can wear with a gown or with jeans. The more I saw the Chloe drew bag being carried by my favorite celebrities like Olivia Palermo and Reese Witherspoon, as well as some of the world’s top style bloggers, the more I lusted for the bag!
The Chloe Drew bag comes in different sizes, with the bigger one having a leather strap. There’s also a satchel type which I’m not too fond of. But below I’ll share with you some of the Chloe Drew bags that are available right now.
It took me weeks or maybe months to finally single out what to get. It was so hard to decide because of the many sizes, styles, hardware color and color combos they have. Finally, I knew I wanted to get a mini because with a chain strap, I didn’t want to carry a lot. Also, it’s a perfect size that I can use for more formal events. It was also a bonus that the mini size was cheaper than the bigger sizes of course. I ended up paying $1,165 plus $24 shipping (no tax) because it came all the way from Tuscany! And mind you, it’s the lowest price I’ve found online so far. Where did I get it? Farfetch of course! It’s where I look for designer goods at a great price.
Another factor that made it harder to decide was being torn between the mini Drew and the mini Marcie. It’s another Chloe bag and in a saddle bag shape as well. The mini Marcie, however, feels more casual because of the leather strap and the saddle stitches in the front. That’s probably what made me decide to get the mini Chloe Drew instead. But mind you, that mini Marcie is one pretty haute bag with a price tag under $700. Actually, I almost got it in gray… but when I was about to make the purchase, it got sold out. Sigh. Nevertheless, I am super happy with my new baby, the Chloe mini Drew bag. 🙂
This look is coming up soon. So make sure to stay tuned!
