Maximizing Your Tax Refund Cash

Once again, it’s Tax Season. How are you maximizing your tax refund cash? Instead of using it on one big splurge, how about finding more ways to stretch it? How about getting something that gives back – something that will give you more savings in the long run? For example, replacing that old home appliance with an energy-efficient one will help lower your monthly bills. The same goes with replacing old incandescent bulbs to LED ones. Those savings will add up and you can use that for something you love. Travel perhaps? Switching to a more affordable phone plan will also bring in that extra cash. Have you checked out Walmart Family Mobile PLUS Plans yet?

Walmart Family Mobile PLUS Plan

I recently headed to Walmart and got their Walmart Family Mobile PLUS Plan for just $49.88 per line. It’s got Unlimited* Talk, Text, & Data perfect for our family (*Includes up to 10GB of 4G LTE† data then 2G). You can never have too much data, especially if you’re like me who loves to share stories and videos on social media. It’s very handy when I’m out at blogging events, sharing behind the scenes or fashion shows with my followers.

With this plan, you also get a free VUDU movie credit every month – a $7 value same as a new release rental! We’ve set a day each month for VUDU movie night. We buy take-out food that we’re craving, set up everything in the living room with the big TV, and we get to watch new release movies that we missed in theaters. It’s amazing and an affordable way to do date nights!

If you plan to make the switch, you can pick a phone or bring your own. Then, just grab a SIM Kit for only $19.88. Since Family Mobile bills you later, you only have to pay for that upon sign up.

I got the Samsung Galaxy On5 phone which retails for $119, but was currently on roll-back. So even more savings for me. YAY!

6 Ways to Enjoy Your Extra Savings

So, you’ve maximized your tax refund cash. Now, what? With the extra savings or the extra cash I get to put aside each month, we can do the other things that we love or what we wished we can do more often – things that one may consider luxury. Maybe you didn’t have the budget to do these things before, but because you maximized your tax refund cash, now you can! Here are some great ideas for you. It’s all about enjoying life while you can, and making wonderful memories and experiences – a perfect way to recharge from all the hard work!

1. Pamper Yourself

Get a manicure or pedicure. Go to the spa for a facial or a massage. Whatever type of pampering you choose, it will definitely uplift your mood and get you recharged to face another week!

Are you a music lover who wishes to go to music festivals or watch concerts? Do you love to play golf? Is there a sport or hobby you wish you’d have extra budget on? How about painting or crafting at art shops? Now, you have extra to do these things regularly.

5. More Date Nights

Be it going to the movies, dining out, or getting drinks with your loved ones, having extra cash can mean more date nights.

6. Do What YOU Love

Whatever your cup of tea is, extra savings can mean you can enjoy more of what YOU love or what you want to do. You can go shopping. You can contribute to a charity of your choice. Maybe a family or friend needs help and you can pitch in for something. Or, if you are currently paying off debts, auto loan, or a mortgage, you can also put your extra savings towards those things, so you can finish them off earlier!
