Who else likes to stay in on Valentine’s Night? My husband and I aren’t the couple who will join the rest of the world dining at a fancy restaurant on the same night. Instead, we like to keep it romantic at home, and then go out another night when it’s not too crowded. So if you’re anything like us, then I’m here to share some tips on how to make “Valentines Night In” amazing! So grab your popcorn, chocolates, or fruits, and read on. Oh and guys, take a hint!

How to Make Valentines Night In Amazing
1. Opt for Edible Arrangements
Guys, listen up. Sure, flowers are great. But sometimes, floral arrangements are just way too predictable. Besides, if you’re like me who like to get fresh flowers to brighten up the home every so often, then getting flowers “again” might seem ordinary. Instead, get Edible Arrangements! I have here the “Be Mine Bouquet” which surely looks like a floral arrangement, but totally beats the latter because this one – you can eat! Plus, this bouquet will be enjoyed by all. If you have kids, I’m pretty sure they’ll be all over this too! But who’s to stop you from getting both edible and floral arrangements, right? Go big or go home!
Edible Arrangements can be delivered on the same day, are made locally and hand delivered. So make sure you go check out Edible Arrangement’s offering here, stat!
2. Get the Fancy Lingerie
Okay ladies, this one’s for you! Now is the time to take your pretty lingerie out! Well this can also be a hint for the guys! Get your girl a pretty matching set of lace bras and lace panties that you can give to her on Valentine’s Day! This one from Maidenform is from the Modern Beauty Collection. The coral punch set is a nice sweet and refreshing color. But black and red are also great classic options. You can get the bra here and the boyshort here.
Who knew a boyshort can be so sexy?
3. Choose an Unexpected Drink
Okay couples – one might like bubbly or cocktails, the other might like beer. But what if you get a shandy? American craft wheat ale made with real blackberry. That’s what’s happening! It was my first time trying the Lucky Traveler Beer and I’m glad I did! The Traveler Beer Company brews (no mixing) craft wheat beer with real fruit ingredients.
I heard other flavors are also popular, but I got this blackberry one which is just the right amount of fruity and beer taste. Now I need to taste their grapefruit flavor next! Want to find this flavor too? Find out where it’s being sold in your city thru their beer finder.
4. Pick a Movie and Get the Popcorn Ready
Sounds cheesy, but we do love to watch romantic movies for Valentines Night In! So pick a movie or have a couple movies lined up. And obviously, make sure the popcorn is ready! I’ve been a long time fan of Popcorn Indiana Kettlecorn Sweet & Salty. For me, it’s the right amount of sweetness and savory! Yum!!!
And do you know that Popcorn Indiana is certified gluten free too? It’s got no artificial colors, flavors, high fructose corn syrup, or preservatives. It has zero (0) cholesterol and trans fat per serving too. So grab one or two varieties for Valentines Day! And you know what? The smaller ones are great for gifting your girls for Galentines Day as well. Pop them inside cute Valentines treat bags or boxes, and voila! A cute and tasty treat for your squad!
5. Set the Mood with Candles
You got the edible arrangement, the fancy outfit of the night (haha), movie, the drink, and the treats. Now it’s time to set the mood with candles – bonus points for a sexy scent! I am loving Chesapeake Bay Candle Mind & Body: Love & Passion scent. I’d let the name say it all, but I have to tell you that the grapefruit and mango combo smells delicious! I’d light this up any day of the week if I’m being honest. Or maybe just keep it on my desk and steal a sniff when I’m feeling exhausted from work!
Highly recommend it. But don’t take my word for it. Try and see, ummm… smell, for yourself! Get the candle here.
Well, I hope these tips help you prepare an amazing Valentines Night In. If you love these tips, make sure to SHARE to DROP A HINT! I won’t tell if you don’t! Haha!
On a side note, who said you can’t celebrate this day with your furry best pals too? I know I’m going to!
Until the next Valentine’s tip or post. Xo!
