The weekend brought ice and rain, a not so great combo that turned roads into wet slush. While it wasn’t as cold as the previous days have been (even though technically it’s still Fall season), I had to layer up in cute winter pieces. Bring on the cape coats, beanies, gloves, and knee-high socks! This is what I wore.
Layered in Winter Pieces
The beanie I’m wearing is from Sammy Dress. I love the slouchy style and the fact that it’s thick enough to brave the harsh weather. Bonus points for being under $5!
For my coat, I wore this green plaid cape I found at Macy’s Backstage c/o. It’s the cutest thing! I love the style and the color, and how cozy it actually is!
And to add a more preppy feel to this look, I layered knee-high socks on top of my leggings. Not only did it add warmth, it also added cuteness, thanks to the panda design in this leg warmer. This is also from Sammy Dress and was also under $5!
I love how this look turned out. Leg warmers are a great way to add warmth when you want to wear a skirt. To make sure you’re protected, layer the leg warmer on top of leggings. Knee high or over the knee boots will also help!
