Hot cocoa bar and cookie decorating – what better way to celebrate the holidays? With so many parties lined up this season, we’re always trying to find new ideas for entertaining. So I partnered with some amazing Pittsburgh babes, bloggers, and girl bosses to give you the cutest hot chocolate bar and cookie decorating spread that you and your friends are gonna enjoy!
Thanks to gorgeous bloggers, Marah Frank (left) and Alyssa Andress (center) for including me in this holiday-themed collab! Thanks to Jessica Linn Events for allowing us to setup at her studio and for actually creating most of the cocoa bar set up that you’ll be seeing here. She really does a good job and I highly recommend her for your next event! And thanks to the sweetest photographer, Sami Saunders for capturing such amazing photos! Most of the beautiful images here were taken by Sami. Others are taken from my Samsung Note8.
Holiday Party Idea: Hot Cocoa Bar + Cookie Decorating
Jessica created this beautiful hot cocoa bar setup and we simply added little touches to it. I brought my favorite Anthropologie mugs (currently on sale for $5.60 for a limited time, so hurry), and Marah decorated it with little Christmas trees and a letter board! How amazing is that donut tray though?
I love that Jessica covered the whipped cream with brown paper, so everything is in line with the theme. Putting the chocolate and caramel syrups in these dispensers with labels, instead of leaving them in their squeeze bottle is also a cute touch!
Gather all toppings in mason jars and place them all in a tray. So it’s easy for guests to see all of their hot chocolate topping options in one area.
Alyssa baked and decorated the cutest holiday cookies too! It’s a great activity that you can do with guests after a holiday meal. Bake the cookies before hand and then set up a table with all the fun cookie decorating items like icing and a variety of sprinkles! I found these gold, silver, pearl, chocolate, and stars at Michael’s. But the best part is that they now have small packets for a dollar each. So you can pick the color or design that you like!
Don’t forget little take-away boxes too. So guests can bring some of their creations home!
To prep for a hot chocolate bar and cookie decorating table, Marah listed everything you’ll need in her blog post here.
By the way, how cute is the wall art setup done by Jessica? Fun tip I learned from her: wrap a frame with some holiday wrapping paper to make a pretty backdrop for your holiday buffet table!
Now below are more photos taken by Sami. Super love the photos she took and can’t wait to work with here in the future!
Hope you enjoyed all these ideas for your next holiday party! By the way, if you haven’t entered my giveaway, make sure to go to my Instagram post here. Xo.
