Since the new year started, I’ve been sharing and motivating you all on my Instagram stories with sneak peeks of my workouts. Have you seen them? One of my resolutions this year is to workout more, be more active, and live a healthier lifestyle. But obviously, being fit and healthy is more than just exercising. We need to be cautious about what we eat or drink. I don’t believe in banning your favorite food or drink. For me, controlling your appetite is key.
Controlling Your Appetite with Meta Appetite Control
I was recently introduced to Meta Appetite Control. It’s a fiber supplement from the makers of Metamucil and contains 100% natural psyllium. It’s clinically proven to help you feel less hungry between meals and helps you “break up” with daily snack cravings.* I thought it would be fun to try and see if it really works. But first, I had to distinguish what type of snacker I was.
What’s Your Snack ID Profile?
Meta Appetite Control partnered with registered dietitian nutritionist Jessica Fishman Levinson MS, RDN, CDN, to create six Snack ID profiles to help consumers pinpoint their snacking habits. So they can give them simple solutions and healthy snacking tips. They also partnered with POPSUGAR to turn these Snack ID profiles and tips into an interactive, online quiz that I recommend you take here. Guess what I got?
I’m the Mindless Muncher
Everyone has their own snacking habits. My weakness comes before bedtime. I admit, I stay up late… like really late. Between late night blogging, binge watching, and computer games, I get hungry in the middle of the night, and end up snacking the worst types of junk food. Or sometimes, I might even be snacking while watching TV or playing a game without even thinking if I’m really hungry or not. Eeek, not good! So aside from trying to manage my time better, I knew I had to control my appetite as well. So, I agreed to put Meta Appetite Control to the test.
Trying Out the Meta Appetite Control
I was sent the Orange Zest flavor and I was surprised with the taste. I was hesitant at first, thinking it would taste like medicine. But they proved me wrong. It was actually tasty. By the way, it also comes in Pink Lemonade Quench and an unflavored, smoothie enhancer one.
So basically, you just mix 2 teaspoons of the fiber powder with at least 8 ounces of cold water. Take it with your meal, so you feel less hungry in between meals.* And you know what? I did feel fuller! I didn’t get the urge to snack in between meals. I also felt fuller faster. So I didn’t overeat! I’ve been taking it for about a week now (except when I went out of town). And overall, I’m pretty happy with it that I’ll continue to use it from now on.
If you’re having a hard time controlling your appetite and want to try it for yourself, here’s a coupon to save you some moolah. AND if you wanna try your luck, here’s a giveaway for a Meta Appetite Control prize pack and a Fitbit Flex 2. Good luck and I hope you win!
