Spring Break Essentials, Sakroots Artist Circle Tote. Ella Flat Espadrille

Favorite Spring Break Essentials

Today at STYLEanthropy, let’s talk about favorite spring break essentials! After all, Spring Break is upon us. Other states will be starting theirs next week. But whether you’re already on a break now or getting ready for it in the next couple of days, we’re already feeling the spirit. We have family coming over and we’re pretty excited. How about you? Where are you headed?

Spring Break Essentials

Whether you’re going on a staycation or vacation away from home, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite spring break essentials to get you ready for a fun time. You in? Let’s do this!

1. Comfy Footwear

Whether you’re heading out on a trip this Spring Break, or staying close to home, but will be doing outdoor activities, comfy footwear is a must. While you can choose some flat sandals, how about try some flat espadrilles instead? Closed shoes are great if you’re doing outdoor activities because they’ll keep your toes safe and clean. Espadrilles are great closed shoes for the warmer weather and I’m loving this Ella Flat Espadrille from Sakroots.

I love the colors in this pair of espadrilles and that owl adds a lot of quirkiness to it! It also comes in a variety of prints, but I’m really loving this one. It’s called the Natural Spirit Desert and was designed by a Venezuelan graphic designer, Valentina Ramos, who is now based in Miami, Florida. Yup, original artwork, guys! And this print supports the charity, Wild at Heart.

Sakroots recently released a collection of spring break accessories with colorful original artwork. But that’s not all, guys. Each print supports a certain nature or music charity as part of their Choose Your Karma program. You can donate to a charity of your choosing from their list when you buy from sakroots.com! Even better? They will also match all the donations.

2. A Big Tote

Now that we’re done with the comfy footwear, next thing we’re gonna need is a big tote. Whether you’re heading to the beach, lake-side, pool-side, picnic, camping or even shopping (my kind of trip), you’re going to need a big tote for all of your essentials! I am loving this Artist Circle Clear XL tote because of how huge and roomy it is, without overwhelming my frame.

This print is the Citrus Xen Garden and was designed by illustrator Olivia Schoeff who grew up in a small town in North Carolina. This print supports the San Francisco Botanical Garden. This Sakroots XLG Tote also comes in a blue and white aqua print which is called the Aqua Water Nation, designed by NYC artist Daphne Park. The print supports the Whale and Dolphin Conservation organization. I can’t wait to give away something from their collection. The contest will be on my Instagram soon. So make sure you are following over there! My username is @styleanthropy!

Aside from the beautiful print, the Sakroots XLG tote have a couple of surprises that I love. One, there is an extra pouch inside. It’s attached to the tote, but can be removed and taken out when you just need to take your M.I.L.K. (money, ID, lip balm/listick, and keys).

Two, there’s a surprise message inside the tote. I love the sayings in their totes. It’s an extra detail that makes the Sakroots totes even more amazing!

3. Flowy Dresses

You’ve got a comfy pair of shoes and a huge tote. It’s time to get that flowy dress – perfect as a swimsuit coverup, a comfy piece to lounge in, a dainty dress to wear to the farmers market, or just a feminine touch for a dinner date by the shore. Off shoulder pieces are still trending this spring/summer 2016 season. So find something that suits your fancy.

Mine is an old dress, but I found some cute options to take your spring break dressing to the next level.

4. Your Fave Sunglasses

Finally, the gloomy weather is out, which means the sun’s out as well! So don’t forget to pack or bring your favorite pair of sunglasses. You don’t want to be squinting when you’re outdoors under the heat of the sun. It protects not just your eyes, but also prevents wrinkles. This pair of sunnies is my forever go-to, come spring/summer.

5. A Colorful Necklace

It’s time to bust out some color after a gloomy winter season. Tassels are still hot. So get some in your favorite color, whether it’s pink, turquoise, green, yellow, or lavender among others. I’m in love with this necklace!

6. Beach Waves Hair

For an easy hairstyle that screams vacation, try some beach waves! I shared how you can achieve this hairstyle on this tutorial post.

7. A Pretty Bike

Okay, pretty is optional, but is a huge plus! Besides, wouldn’t you be inspired to go biking when you’ve got a pretty colorful bike? You get to work out and have fun, all while looking stylish! We’re planning to take our bikes with us on our road trip soon. So if you’re going on a nature trip, it would be fun to have a bike to take with you.

Well, those are just a few of my favorite accessories come spring and summer season. How about you? What are your favorite Spring Break Essentials? Do share!
