Faux Leopard Coat at Pet-Friendly Ace Hotel Pittsburgh

Hello, dear friends! Welcome back to STYLEanthropy. Today, I’m sharing our outfits at the pet-friendly Ace Hotel in Pittsburgh. I first learned about the hotel a few years ago, while looking for pet-friendly accommodations for a staycation in the Steel City. But it was only recently that we finally went – not to stay, but to eat!

Pet-Friendly Ace Hotel Pittsburgh

It was one Sunday and the Steelers were playing that afternoon. We had late breakfast. So we were trying to look for a place to eat late lunch/early dinner after Church. We were looking for a spot where we can watch and take our dog, Louis, with us. We knew it’s a long shot, especially since it’s winter, when patios are usually closed. But I suddenly remembered about the pet-friendly Ace Hotel. So off we went.

Why did we wait this long? The moment you step in, the hotel has this hip and cool vibe. There were other pets in the lobby, people with their laptops on the table, and others just casually hanging out by the bar. There is a restaurant inside the hotel called Whitfield (shown below). However, pets are not allowed in the restaurant area.

You can still order takeout though, and eat at the lobby of the hotel… OR… you can eat at the gym. Yes, Ace Hotel has a gym, being it a century old former YMCA building! How cool is that?

Aside from the Whitfield restaurant, there is a bar in the lobby that serves food. You can order from there and they will bring it to you in the gym. That’s what we did. Even better, there’s a projector in the gym. So when there’s a Pittsburgh game happening, you can watch from there!

We ordered a chicken sandwich which was okay. Pretty decent, nothing spectacular…

But we loved the pastrami sandwich. It was so good!

Here’s a short video to give you an idea of the space.

Besides the projector and games, there’s also a vintage-looking photo booth in the gym. I just had to pose there. Haha!

But aside from the cool gymnasium, the hotel itself was begging for a photoshoot… and so we did! Here’s what Louis and I wore. 🙂

Faux Fur Leopard Coat Outfit

This faux fur leopard print coat c/o Topshop has been my most favorite coat ever. It’s so gorgeous and so warm. Stylish and functional, double check! It has since sold out but this and this are similar options.

Louis kept warm in a green knit sweater (c/o Gilt Groupe) that he’s had for years!

I went with an all black outfit to make the leopard coat, my pom pom sneakers, and bag stand out.

How cute are these pom pom sneakers? I found them at Macy’s Backstage (c/o) and mind you, they are just under $20!!! SCORE!!!

The Zac Posen bag was another score at the Woodbury Premium Outlets in New York last Thanksgiving. It was one of the best deals I found there! Love it? Here’s a smaller black version of the bag that’s now on clearance. This style, on the other hand, was the first one that I fell in love with. It’s also on sale!

To complete the look, I wore my other favorite score from Woodbury – this pair of Karen Walker sunglasses, and one of my fave earrings that my friend got me for Christmas. 💕

That’s it for now. Perhaps next time we’re back at the Ace Hotel, it would be to stay. We’ll see. I’ll definitely share a review if and when we do! Until next. XO.
