Today at STYLEanthropy, I’m sharing with you how I’m wearing the culottes trend. By the way, Happy Valentines Day lovelies! I’m here in NYC for New York Fashion Week. For days, I have been contemplating on whether to go or not, given the fact that there’s some sort of snow storm coming. But, carpe diem and YOLO! Anyway, I digress. Let’s go back to today’s outfit inspiration. I am a huge fan of this hot trend for Spring 2015. The culottes and the “black and white athletic” trends are my favorites. So I already envision myself wearing all sorts of variations of those two. One of which is this outfit. Take a look.
The Culottes Trend
I prefer culottes that are slightly longer, almost looking like cropped pants, rather than the shorter ones that look like Bermuda shorts. For me, the longer ones make your legs look longer and it hides wide calves like I have! Plus points when you wear it with heels! If you’ve got nice stems to flaunt, go ahead and try those shorter culottes for a fun look.
Aside from the culottes trend, this outfit also ticks off the black and white trend. One weekend when I had my hair cut, I found this window pane print boxy top. As if I’m not obsessed with window pane already! It looks like a crop top layered over a white button down shirt. But it’s actually a one piece top and is just amazing! You won’t believe where I found it! SCORE!
WEARING: JCPenney Worthington black and white window pane shirt, H&M culottes, BCBGeneration pumps, Chanel medallion tote, Kendra Scott bracelet (c/o), Alex & Ani charm bracelets, Michael Kors runway watch in rose gold, Lily Wang necklace c/o ShopLately, MAC Cosmetics lipstick in heroine.
STYLEanthropists, hope you enjoyed this outfit inspiration. Are you going to try the culottes trend? Always be stylish!
