Colorful Art with a Cause

Happy Friday from STYLEanthropy! Spring is in full swing. Okay, maybe we are getting a cold front here in Pittsburgh. But if I were back in Dallas, I may as well be enjoying summer weather! So let me just imagine I’m back home in Dallas, enjoying patio weather and driving to the lake this weekend. What better way to accessorize than with colorful art prints with a cause? That’s the beauty of the Sakroots Spring 2016 collection!

I love fashionable pieces that have meaning to them. These days, we all get too caught up with everything that are on trend. Sometimes, we forget about things like… “what would be a better choice for the environment” or “what brands or products support charities“, and other things like that. And for that, I love those bloggers who support and promote brands with great causes  – fair trade, all natural, no to animal testing, etc.

That’s why I was excited to hear about the Sakroots Spring Collection, where they feature a variety of prints from various artists and illustrators, all supporting different causes. I’m in love with my Artist Circle Clear XLG tote because not only is it cute, but it comes with a detachable pouch, a beautiful quote that you get to be reminded of each time  you look inside your bag, and the print supports the San Francisco Botanical Garden.

You may recall me featuring it in these two previous outfit posts. Click to see the full look.

Aside from the tote, I also got the Flat Espadrilles, which I’m telling you, is the COMFIEST thing! I’ve had previous espadrilles before and they weren’t as comfy as this. Plus, that owl print is just too adorable. This is in the Natural Spirit Desert print and supports the charity Wild at Heart.

Anyway, if you are looking for Spring and Summer accessories that feature colorful art designed by artists around the country, I highly encourage you check out the Sakroots Choose Your Karma collection. The different prints each support a different charity. So check out their website to view all of the prints and their causes. Happy Friday and I hope you come back soon to STYLEanthropy for more style picks and inspiration! Xo, C.
