Today at STYLEanthropy, let’s travel to Aloft Hotel Downtown Cleveland in Ohio. A few months ago, we went on an impromptu trip to Cleveland. Being it was only a 2-hour drive from Pittsburgh, it was an easy weekend road trip to plan. We thought it would be fun to go on mini trips in and around Pennsylvania before we head back to Texas. So one weekend, after waking up to beautiful weather, we decided to pack our bags on a whim. I’ve been wanting to visit Cuyahoga Falls on the way. So over breakfast, I did a quick search on places to visit in Cleveland, and opened my Hotel Tonight app to look for lodging. And that’s how we ended up on Aloft Hotel Downtown Cleveland.
Aloft Hotel in Downtown Cleveland: Pet Friendly
One of the most important hotel amenities that we search for every single time is that the hotel must be pet-friendly. Since we have a 4-legged
monster baby who goes with us anywhere we go, it was important to find lodging that accommodate pets. Thankfully, Aloft is known to be a pet-friendly hotel, even offering packages with pet beds, bowls and complimentary treats.
So off we went to Ohio. I will share with you the places we’ve visited in another post. For now, let’s focus on Aloft Cleveland Downtown.
My expectations of Aloft has always been high. Being part of the W Hotels family, I knew it wouldn’t disappoint. And this Aloft Cleveland Downtown location met my expectations and more. I love the modern look and feel because it’s just like how I would decorate my own home. Even from the exterior, I already knew I would love this place.
The only thing I had hoped they offer? Free parking. There was valet, an open public parking, and garage parking in the building for a fee. I believe we spent $12 for 24 hours.
Upon check-in, the lobby was just as I had imagined. Modern furniture, clean and sleek aesthetic – my kind of style.
We went up to our room, well-lighted with two huge windows…
…shining on an inviting king-sized bed with a work-of-art headboard!
It was well-designed! That headboard even has a secret pocket on the side for an ironing board.
While the bathroom didn’t have a tub, it had a wonderful shower. It featured glass doors, sort of like a rain shower head, and generous bath products from Bliss!!! I love Bliss bath products, so I really enjoyed bath time!
Aloft’s location was pretty nice. You could see a glimpse of Lake Eerie. Plus, it’s a walking distance to a lot of Cleveland’s attractions such as the First Energy Stadium, Science Center, the Rock and Roll Museum and more. I will share with you more photos of these places in another post.
Horseshoe Casino was 0.3 miles away and we spent some time in the slots too!
But if you’re too tired to head out in the evening, Aloft’s W XYZ bar is a great spot for some drinks. There’s even a mini pool (billiards) if you like to play with friends. The lounge is a great place to hang out in and enjoy free wifi. There are also computers/tablets you can use in the lobby. There’s also a spacious gym and fitness club if you’d like to keep fit even when traveling.
Should you find yourself looking for a place to stay while in Cleveland, Ohio, I highly recommend Aloft Hotel. It’s definitely a contender when we go back… we might try out other places to review. But should we not find any, we’ll definitely book here. We loved Cleveland so much, we are planning to go for a round 2 when weather gets better. Hope this post helps you plan your next trip to Downtown Cleveland, Ohio.
Keep traveling in style!
