Will I ever be warm? Asking for a friend! We were already enjoying warmer temps a few weeks ago until Winter decided to give us a parting gift. It’s been freezing out here the past couple of days. But I refuse to dress like we’re in the middle of winter! So, I’m sharing a late winter look that’s giving off spring vibes – lighter-colored clothes and spring boots from SAS Shoes.
4 Ways to Make a Late Winter Look Spring Ready
I’m trying to be positive and look like I’m ready for spring. But when the weather doesn’t wanna cooperate, we revise! Here are 4 tips to help you dress for winter when you just can’t wait for spring to arrive!
1. Light Colored Clothing and White Denim
Take out the white denim that SCREAMS Spring and wear it now! Switching up the color of denim you wear is the easiest way to look spring-ready. If you don’t have a white pair of jeans already, what ever are you waiting for? Go do it now and freshen the wardrobe. White jeans have become a staple in my book! They just keep your outfit looking fresh. And because we are in the subject of white jeans, wear lighter-colored clothing too. Pastels, blushes, light grays – even with your jackets and coats – make it look less of a winter drab!
2. Bags and Other Accessories
It’s the perfect time to start wearing those spring bags! I’m loving my pink spring bag here. But there are a lot of other blush colored cross-body bags that I’m itching to get too! And if you’re feeling it, I’ve seen wooden bags paired with winter coats as well. Architectural wooden bags are great year-round as long as they go well with the outfit!
3. Spring Boots
When it comes to shoes for the late winter, I gravitate towards lighter colored suede boots. Surprise, surprise! Of course, anything light and bright is always a great reminder of spring weather. But aside from the color, I go for wooden stacked heels – something you don’t normally wear in the dead of winter. Because duh, snow! But now that we’re counting down the days ’til spring, you can start switching up to these!
How sweet is this pair of ankle boots? It’s the Dylan ankle boots from SAS Shoes. It’s got that Western style with a decent heel height – perfect for attending all the music festivals and concerts you can muster. It’s got a zipper back for easy slip on and off. And seriously, you can walk in these shoes for hours! It’s got a soft Italian suede with smooth leather lining inside. The insole is padded to provide comfort all day! And guess what, it’s got the TPU Sole which is a thermoplastic polyurethane sole that offers shock-absorption.
4. Brighter Makeup
Start wearing brighter shades of lipstick. Nude shades are fine too. But more pinkish, peach, oranges, and coral hues scream warmer weather and would give off a more warm season vibe to your overall look! I’m wearing this lipstick in #326.
Hope you liked these tips for dressing this time of the year. Are you somewhere cold too? Or are you already enjoying the 60s? Either way, this pair of boots will work on both seasons! Happy weekend, friends!
